This is what we’re about and who we are…

We’re passionate about co-creating the type of society we want to see

Inspired by the vision of sustainable prosperity (societies where everyone thrives within planetary boundaries), RM3 Consulting is an individual (solo) enterprise dedicated to helping transformational changemakers like you understand, measure, and optimize the impact of your programs or projects on the people and/or the piece of the planet that you serve.

Whether your initiative happens to be funded and/or steered as an international development, non-profit, community-led, corporate foundation, or government program/project, we* support you through our consulting services/technical assistance as well as advisory and coaching services related to:

••• monitoring and evaluation (M&E) for purposes of accountability, project steering (including any necessary adaptation based on lessons learned), and communications;

••• value-for-money (VfM); and

••• overall management for results (MfR).

Our principal’s work has spanned multiple sectors, including but not limited to: agriculture; biodiversity finance; climate change adaptation and mitigation; communication for development (C4D); education; financial sector development (FSD); governance; health; human rights; land; livelihoods/social protection; oil and gas; public finance; and tourism.

Having conducted M&E and MfR for projects implemented in Africa, Asia, Eurasia, Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, and the Pacific, we have both remote and in-country experience.

We’re excited at the possibility of partnering with you to maximize the positive, transformational social impact of your project on people and the planet!

So get in touch and let’s discuss how we can serve you.

Kandi Shejavali, passionate about helping you optimize social impact through M&E and MfR

The M&E/MfR nerd at the helm of RM3 Consulting: Kandi Shejavali

The solo enterprise RM3 Consulting is led by me, Kandi Shejavali, an experienced professional passionate about the promise held by monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and, more broadly, managing for results (MfR) to support transformational change. I’ve worked on international development projects in multiple countries around the world as well as on social impact programs and international trade policy in the United States.

I’m driven by my desire to be part of changing the world for the better, meaningfully and durably. To me, this means moving toward a society that is people- and earth-friendly in the most holistic sense possible. It is a vision that puts humanity and biodiversity at the core.

The M&E/MfR services I offer involve not only supporting the visioning and articulation of appropriate project objectives and conducting great M&E** in service of achieving them, but also transferring core M&E/MfR skills to others, especially those on the ground, closest to the project. I’m also a strong believer in the idea that being in presence can result in better doing, including in doing M&E better, which is further informed by my training in the Human Potential model.

The aspiration is that, taken together, these efforts will not only help demonstrate social impact but also themselves deepen social impact. To me, that is the great promise of M&E. It’s not about charts and graphs and figures, but about how close or far we are to a people- and earth-friendly society.

And M&E doesn’t have to be complicated or arduous to be effective and transformative. I specialize in the design and implementation of robust yet readily implementable M&E frameworks, taking a practical approach that makes the most of the project context and avoids creating additional layers of complexity.

If that sounds appealing to you, I invite you to grab some resources or get in touch so we can talk about how we might collaborate.

A P.S. OR TWO:
p.s. You can read more about my approach to M&E in this interview granted to the team at TolaData (where you’ll learn that, aside from M&E/MfR, I also like to read and dance and eat good food…yes, M&E/MfR nerds dance, too!).
p.p.s. This is what one of my clients said about collaborating with me: “Ms. Shejavali quickly took ownership of her responsibilities and carried them out with the highest level of professionalism and efficiency. First and foremost, she was able to establish productive relationships with a diversity of development partners. … These relationships were sustained throughout and beyond Ms. Shejavali’s stay…, reflective of her strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, warm and friendly personality, responsiveness to explicit and implicit issues, and comprehensive technical knowledge of development issues.” – Multilateral client (multi-sectoral program in sub-Saharan Africa). NOTES:
*The royal “we” used on this website and on other RM3 Consulting platforms mostly refers to me, Kandi Shejavali, M&E/MfR nerd and sole owner of RM3 Consulting. The “we” is used not only for enhanced noun/pronoun agreement but also to convey the eventuality of putting a team together in the case of assignments necessitating a team rather than an individual expert.
**What is ‘great’ M&E? To me, it’s an approach to M&E that elicits credible and meaningful evidence for purposes of demonstrating and enhancing transformational impact, supporting project management (including learning and adapting), accountability, and communications, while still allowing for implementation flexibility and innovation – all while remaining practical.
